Automotive Press die tooling technology has been developing and improving and will also be continuously requiring a newest and innovative technology.

The most vital attitude and basic motivation for HIT Engineering Team are to accept and challenge to a new prior technology and specification on die manufacturing. We have been studying and adapting new technology as well as customers’ specification in order to provide customer high quality of engineering services. In this way, we could achieve not only better die quality, but also part quality.

Sheet Metal Forming Simulation Analysis

One of our engineering team’s main goals is to conclude the most optimized part quality through the feasibility study with the software called, “Autoform”. The team has experienced diverse types of material, not only normal rate of material but also high strength material and aluminum. Through the simulation, we are capable of calculating the amount of "SpringBack" and compensate the amount to obtain the nominal value of the part by adjusting “dieface”, “punch profile” and “draw bead”. These results are principal things to be applied into the 3D die design.

In addition, it also calculates the right "forming force" and "binder force" with real draw bead modeling, and the process of analysis for spring back, “Compensation” helps us saving a time and cost to manufacturing actual tools.

Method Plan (Process)

• 2D Method Plan

The purpose of 2D Method Plan is to help customer understanding the die process more easily and facilitate better communication between two parties. We provide 2D format information with .PPT and .XLS files.

• 3D Method Plan

3D method plan is provided with CATIA V5 format, which can be used for 3D die design and this result is served with autoform springback analysis. Also 3D method plan can be feasible for CAM directly.

3D Design

3D design is supplied with the CATIA V5 format. We have many experiences from small size of tool to big size of tool.

Press Automation Simulation

In case of transfer tool, we use “Press Automation Simulation” to pre eliminate any collision and interference so that we can filter out unnecessary collision work during actual manufacturing.
